NewPaper Big Walk 2006

As per our annual family tradition, today my family and I participate in the Big Walk 2006. It became a tradition to participate annually since 2001 when my family were all persuaded by me through the use of "force/sweet talk/bribery/flattery" to join the Big Walk in 2001.

The weather was really fine today. Kind of cloudy but not to the extent of gloomy, so the walk was rather cooling. The only hiccup was that we left our house for the national stadium at 6.30am, which was already consider late. It was consider late even though the Big Walk starts at 7.30am because thru experience the traffic police will close the road near stadium at about 7am. And true to my prediction, when we reach the junction that lead to the stadium, the road was already closed so we have to park our van at a carpark in front of the mountbatten cc, about 2 km away from that junction. (No choice! All parking lots are full!) And when I alight from our van, I realise that I left my water bottle at home. Felt like an idiot then. Thought I was going to die from thirst half-way during the Big Walk. Can even imagine myself crawling on the road like a dehydrated traveller in the sahara desert. But heng ah! On my way, walking to the stadium I spotted a 7-Eleven store, so I quickly went in an bought myself a 1.5 litre bottle of mineral water. Thank god ah!

Anyway, i took some photos as I was walking. Wanted to also photo the pretty ladies that walk pass me but decided not to lor. Scare of dying from an untimely death from their nearby beau. 8)

Scouts' Campcraft Course

Today I brought 14 of my scouts to Gong Shang Primary for their scouts' campcraft course. Hope they remember what they learnt. By the way during the morning break, I finally manage to see Vanessa. Wah! Really missed her leh. Can see that she miss me too. hahaha! Thick skin I know. 8) Actualy she was the one that call out to me first. She still look the same lor, same shoulder length hair, same face. Hmm, I always thought studying at GPS will make people look smart, but no leh don't see that smart look on her face. hahaha. Nope, I'm not trying to be sacarstic, i'm just trying to say she didn't have that smug look that "RI" students have lor. Yes I admit i'm don't have a good impression of RI students. This is due to my past experiences with some RI boys when i was still studying in Secondary, but that is a story for another day, back to Vanessa. Heard from Vanessa that the papers in GPS is harder than YPS. she said she score 70s to 80s in YPS but in GPS she can only score 60s to 70s, one range lower. So you people should be counting your lucky stars that our papers are not the most difficult. Our papers can only claimed to be the 2nd most difficult in Tampines. Why? Cuz' I only know the standard of YPS and GPS. hahahaha 8D

General Election Coming!

Ya! I know you people already know that the GE is this coming Saturday. But no choice don't know what to write for title mah. So make do make do, can? Anyway, it has been quite a while since I blog lor. My class has been keeping me busy. Very frustrating teaching them leh. All "du du" like to "tu tu train". What ever I say, they also cannot go in their "coconut". Kind of miss my last year 3D. 8( But anyway, I always tell myself that they still got hope lor, eventually can see the light at the end of the tunnel. (though sometimes it's seems like the light from a dying firefly.) Must motivate myself to carry on mah. If not I can die from high blood pressure very early.

Last month went to GongShang Primary (GSP) to visit the LSP teacher there. While waiting in their canteen for my appointment time to reach, I was also looking left and right. Hoping to see if I can see our Vanessa. Never see her leh. Kind of miss her. Anyway GSP's building is very quite small leh. Our YPS bigger. But GSP very beautiful, their no. 1 willing to pump $$$ to make the school beautiful unlike certain people here.

Anyway, I thought that Friday school can dismiss at 12pm. But sad to hear this morning that school dismissing as usal lor. Don't understand! School must vacate by 2 pm. 1.30pm dismiss very troublesome. 1stly, bring the class down already takes up 5 - 10 mins. 2ndly, if it is sunny or clear weather still fine, but if rain then die lar, the crowd will take about 30 mins to clear. And looking at the weather recently, thunder storm is highly possible at around 1.30pm. Plus if their parent no time to come or is late in fetching them , the child bring go to police post issit at 2 pm? Super "Duh" leh the decision! It's like inviting trouble to start. Waiting for the newspaper to smear our school name? Well Done leh! Just check with my friend's whose sch is also polling school, latest they dismiss at 12.30pm.
