LPS 2007

Having been pestered by my ex-students, thru sms and my blog, to go visit them on this week. So since some of them "miss" me, I yesterday morning for the 1st time in 3 months woke up at 6+am to go back to yps to support them for their LPS. Sian siao! Wake up so early! Panda eyes liao!

Anyway the "reception" back in school quite make up for the loss / lack of sleep lor. I felt like a Singpore Idol or Campus Superstar leh. My ex-pupils all went fanatic on seeing me. They all gathered around me like I'm a mega-super star. While waiting for their turn to compete, they practically followed me everywhere I go. Asked them to sit back at their designated place, they also ignored me. Come to think of it, I felt like I'm the pipe piper blowing my flute lor. Btw, these kids are born in the year of the R**, fortunately all can swim lor, won't drown. Hehehe. They practically surrounded me and ask me tons and tons of questions. Wah! I like I'm holding a press conference like that. Answered questions until almost went siao liao.

Best part was Smurfie asked one of her "minions" to ask me to see her lor. I thought she so good, save me from my "crisis". Then when I went near that "blue thingy", she ask me to move the bench in front of her class. Kanasai Man! I guest leh! Ask me to do work, not shy ah, how can???? Call that BMW lah or his LOBOs. Why call me? I'm busy "mesmerising my "rodents" you know.

And when it was my kids' turn, I got cheered for them leh but they only came in 3rd pacing lor. I shall not mentioned the number of classes competing cuz can be quite paiseh wan lor. Anyway I consoled my kids by telling them got put in effort good liao. Actually, say nice things only lah. If I'm still the cher, die die I also trained them to get 2nd. Not boasting, ok. Track record say so. The only 2 chers who have & can beat my track are that Netball male cher & small master lor. They are good lor. Must kow tow to them. When I was observing them, I can see that they are not well-trained yet lor. There're parts where their movements can still be refined some more. There're parts where I thought the cher should taught them how to "eat snake" legally lor. Not cheat lah but just teach them how to stretch their hands nearer to the basket lor.

While in YPS, I also met up with some of the old kakis lor. They all surprised to see me lor. I also chit-chat with some of my ex-pupils' parents. Seems like I'm missed by them too. Dunno they miss me for good or for bad. Hopefully is for the good lor. Hahaha. I also negotiate a prospective tuition deal while I'm there lor. Not confirm yet though. The mum still considering.

On a side-note, after the LPS, I "jio" TT to go makan lunch lor. Long time no see her liao so thought can meet up over makan and chat lor. (Must stress NO ULTERIOR MOTIVE involved.) But she not free leh. "Jio" her a number of time liao, never succeed b4. Kind of sian liao. :-p

Oh yah, during my visit yesterday, one of my kids (the monitress) asked me "How come Mr Lim when you leave, Ms Tay also leave with you? You two got something, is it?" Wau lau eh! Siao liao lah! If TT's bf hear this, I can be quite sure my "hotel room in Changi" is booked liao. Help! TT you must save me! I'm innocent! 8)

Law Test After-thought

Had my law test today. After the test and after checking with my kakis, with a bit of hint from the lecturer during the lecture afterwards, I realised that I didn't do well for the test. I may not even pass this test. 2 reasons for saying so. 1st reason, for 1 of the question I identified the sub-issue and thought that it was the main issue, as a result my argument become weak as I didn't mentioned the main issue. 2nd reason, I can't finished leh. 1 hour answer 2 questions too short liao. Argumentative essay leh! I need at least 1 1/2 hours to write leh. My 2nd question I answered only halfway. Die 'law'! Siao liao 'law'! Feeling very down now 'law'! No mood to blog liao 'law'. 8(

Hair Bitching

For the past few weeks, I've been holding my tongue from commenting about the hairstyle of one of classmate in my lecture. I don't want to talk about people's hairdo but he always like to sit in the row in front of me so when I look at the lecturer his "jia lat" hairstyle will "distract me lor. I really can't take it now. I mean I'm never against the hairstyle of other people but this guy (yup, it's a guy), I feel that he really have a problem lor. What irks me is that he like to jell his hair till the 'last strand standing'. Quite a number of my fellow classmates do that too and it look quite cool or suave on them but this hairstyle is seriously not for this guy lor. From my observation so far, this fellow is either balding at a young age (he should be in his mid twenty) or he has "sparse population" of hair all along. So when he jelled his hair, wau lau eh, you can see his scap from a higher elevation. i.e. my seat. It is so damn obvious. His scap is so bald that there's enough spare between each strands of hair for me to navigate my pencil around his head and my pencil also won't touch any of his hair. He really need to change his hairdo or "grow more trees". 8)

Oh yeah! On a separate note, due to my "obviously interesting" posting, Smurfie said she want to come along during one of my lectures, during her term break, to join me for lecture. I gladly welcome her lor. "Small" master leh! Dun play, play ah! With her around, during the dull moments of the lecture, at least I have a companion to bitch with. Plus knowing her she will correct the "angmo" of the lecturers lor. Hahaha....YC and Audrey if you are reading this, please don't be offended. I dun mean I can't bitch with you people, it just that she and I are super (really super kind) "bitching" kakis from my teaching day. We have a rapport when it comes to "bitching". Hahahaha 8)

But hor, I taking a business course leh. I remember when she was doing her UNISIM, she complained (times power to infinitely) about her business modules. Wau lau eh! She come for my lectures, won't she be bored out of her skull? I think she may even snore during the lecture sia! Hahaha 8D

Students' Lounge

I'm blogging at the request of my "very loyal fan", Sufian. Hahaha. He just sms me to say he read my blog everyday so must regularly update. I promised him I'll try lor. My "angmo" not as "powderful" as Smurfie but I'll try lor.

Like I blogged this morning, yesterday was a very karang kabo day for me. The interesting part was we had to submit our project, during break-time, into a letterbox near the koi pond and my kakis "arrowed me, this old man, to submit for our group lor. The lights was rather dim (it's 8+pm liao) so with my "failing eyesight" I slotted it into a letter box labelled BBACC lor but now I'm not too sure leh. Nah! it got to be BBACC.......was it......

Anyway, I went to SIM today to meet my kakis to start on our Cost & Management Accounting (CMA) project. We made use of the students' lounge for the whole afternoon. Quite comfy and conductive inside. Prior to using the lounge, we were walking literally high and low to look for a "fengshui" spot to discuss our project. At first we tried the canteen but it was too noisy for discussion, then we try the wooden picnic tables on every level. Not much luck there too. Good spots (i.e. got air-con & power point) has already been occupied. Finally we have to make do with a table (no air-con and power point) near the Grand Hall on level 4. Then I went to "watered the plants". On my way out, I remembered someone (cannot remember who liao!) telling me before that she didn't have a chance to use the students' lounge cuz she discovered the lounge only when she was about to graduate. So I detour to hunt for the students' lounge. It happen to be on level 4 too and when I went in I was like a kid in a candy shop lor. i.e. eyes big big. Wah! They got pool table, sofa, multiple power points, lots of air-con and best of all, tons & tons of open space. I immediately asked my kakis to shift lor. We sat there until the guard came at 5pm to chase us out. 8)

Oh yeah! I created my MSN messenger a/c today. Add me! Add me! or if you want me to add you, pls sms me ur contact info. 8)

My 1st SIM group project submission

Yesterday my group submitted our 1st group project for FA (i.e. Financial Accounting). Our group settled our discussions and preparations for the project like s week ago. All of us had read thru our softcopies, "stamped our approval" on them & printed the hardcopies. At about 5pm, I was on my way to SIM when one of my project-kaki called me to tell me she found some errors in our softcopies. Apparently, on some pages we have a few important data missing & on some pages, we have repeated data. So I quickly checked my hardcopies when I boarded the bus. Wah Lao Eh! I found even more mistakes. Siao liao! These mistakes sent shivers down my spine leh. 1stly, I was already out of my house so I couldn't make amendments to them. 2ndly, I was the last one to proof-read & "stamp my approval". Siao liao! I never do my job leh! How could I miss so many mistakes in the project. Felt so ashamed of myself. 8(

I was so afraid I will drag the entire group down with me. Anyway in the end I got our very kind-hearted "spotter" to correct the mistakes as I can't access a pc until I reached SIM and the other kaki's pc is down.

So when the other kaki and I reached SIM, we both craned our neck to look out for the "grand arrival" of our "spotter". Then it suddenly occurred to me that she may not have punched holes on the project for filing (purchaser of file is the other kaki). So I had to do a mad rush to the Popular about 10 minutes before lecture starts to buy a hole puncher. And to make matters worst, there was a long queue at the cashier and the scanner of the cash register was faultly. Wah lao eh! Super duper sway man! As a result for the 1st time in my SIM's history, I was 10 minutes late for lesson.

Luckily, the final hardcopy was well-printed. Credit goes to the "spotter". 3 cheers for her! 8)

Groaning of an "Abandon" child

In about 6 hours time, my parents will be "abandoning" me for a trip to Genting with their kakis. Sob...Sob...Sob...So pityful, I! Abandon by parent at such old age! 8(

Hahaha....I have been calling friends to meet up for dinner or supper (for next week) since last week. So far response has been quite pityful too! No takers yet. 8(

Anyway, my parents will be away from Sunday til Wednesday's night. So I have the whole house to myself for like 4 days. Wow! Time to paint the house "red" in their absence. So "excited"! 8)
