Struck by Stupidity

I still remember in one of my past entries I blogged about my "impossible mission" to arrange a 2nd date with my blind date girl. It happens that today, while I was giving tuition, I received a sms from the blind date middle-lady stating that the blind date is waiting for me to message her to arrange another date with her. i.e. I still got chance.

So being an idiotic buffoon, I messaged that blind date girl to ask for another date and jokingly mentioned the info I received. Big mistake. The messages replied by the blind date girl were rather cold and hostile.

After conferencing with my "romance advisor", I came to realise that I may have hurt her ego when I jokingly mentioned the message from the middle-lady. Sigh......I didn't meant to do that......I was just trying to add humour to my message......Sigh......Really blew it this time......Even apologising also cannot recover back liao.

Come to think of it now, my "humorous message" sound kind of like the jokes a certain BMW will crack when his love-interest is in sight......Siao liao lah! Blew my chances already bad enough liao. Now I'm resembling BMW in my message! I want to perform the Seppuku on myself liao. 8(

Really Belated B'day Celebration

Just came back from my very really belated b'day celebration by small master and ladylynn. Really touched that they remembered my b'day and celebrated it for me. So touched....See, eyes wet wet liao. Hehehe....

Apparently, they didn't know I am a RC (Roman Catholic) before they asked me out today (actually is Friday 8.30pm). So they didn't know that I have to abstain from land animals' meat on Friday. This partly my fault also lor, cuz when I go out with them on Friday, I always make a conscious but discreet effort to only order fish or vegan meal on this day. The best part was, when small master was driving me home, she asked me if I was a recent converted RC cuz she thought I was a free-thinker. Wah piang! I'm a RC for 32 years liao. I even serve in the church as an altar server during my teenage years i.e. I help the priest during the church's various masses and celebrations.

But they didn't know the fact that I am a RC wasn't as bad as a certain BMW, who knew I am a RC, will every now and then, asked me when am I going to become a true christian like him i.e. convert to his Christan denomination. CB-ian! What makes you think your denomination, which was set-up by a king just so that he can divorced his queen in order to marry another woman, was the true Christan one? No offence to his denomination but he's really disgracing his own denomination with his stupidity and immaturity lor. And he dare said he was a history person. If that is so, my butt is a professor of history liao.

Anyway putting that BMW issue aside, as a result of my abstaining, I couldn't eat a lot of stuff at the restaurant they wanted to treat me lor. Have to settle for fries and onion rings only lor. But their kind gestures really touched me lor. 8)

Excursion to Car Showrooms

Both my parents happened to be on leave today. So today after my driving lessons at 10.10am, they came to Ubi to pick me up. And since all the cars' showrooms were just nearby, my dad suggested we go visit the showrooms. Yipee!

1st stop Honda's showroom. We went straight to look at the Honda City that I was thinking of buying. Quite satisfied with what we saw until my dad asked the salesman for the price, then our mouth open big, big. Wah lau eh! About $60,000! It's so expensive! (Actually I know the price liao but with parents must play-act a bit mah.) So my dad asked for the salesman's namecard then quickly whisked us away from the showroom.

2nd stop Subaru's showroom. My parents were very impressed with the Impreza that I was interested in. The only 2 let-downs were that the back passengers' legroom space is quite "compact" and the car's ceiling is actually quite short lor. This means that I can only let "giants" sit in my impreza. The damn good thing about this car is that the price lor! The salesman quoted us $49,988 and he confirmed that the car comes directly from Japan! My parents were close to drooling in the showroom, and I have do the whisking this time. Parents! (Shake head....)

3rd stop Chevrolet's showroom. The salesman tone turned kind of icy when he heard we are just checking out the cars and we are not buying yet. The cars we viewed were quite good lor. But the salesman, maybe due to us not patronising him, refuse to give any discounts / freebies when we asked him lor. Too bad for him then.

4th stop Toyota's showroom. Apparently, the only manual car left is the Vios. No more Yaris liao. And the Vios are selling like hot-cakes (or is it hot-cars?). Anyway, there's only 2 colours left lor. Frankly, I'm not interested in Vios lor. I'm learning Vios now, so I've literally test-driven Vios many times liao. The car is quite good but the torque is just not up to my comfort lor. Anyway, I read on the net Toyota Japan is no longer manufacturing Vios, this means the stock that Toyota S'pore is selling is like the storeroom's stock lor. Not sure if it's true though.

5th stop Suzuki's showroom. It took us some time to find the showroom. Found it just when we drove pass the showroom. Kannasai! We had to make a big turn to go back to the showroom. Anyway the saleswoman who serve us impressed my parents on the qualities and goodness of the Swift Sports (Hmm....or were they impressed by her beauty?) Then my mum opened the back passenger's door and nearly freak-out. If the Subaru's back legroom is compact, this suzuki's back legroom is a joke. Wah lau eh! For who to sit man! So packed!

So during the lunch break, I asked my parents for their choice of the cars. I have to listen to their advice cuz they are sponsoring 10K each. As for the reason for the sponsorship, it's another story to be given on another day. Their verdict was: Subaru Impreza! Die die must buy! So cheap! I asked my mum, "But you said the back was very cramped wat?" And my mum answered, "Ya I said that. But that was before I saw the Suzuki one. The Subaru looks spacious after that." So it looks like I may most probably be buying the Subaru. Sigh! No choice! Minority shareholders leh! I dun wan to be sue under S216 of the Company Act.

Enrolment & Blind Date Review

Today I return to SIM for my enrolment exercise. Kind of sad to know that I won't be in the same class with my this semester project kakis for all the subjects, as they need to retake some of the this semester subjects.

On my way back, in the MRT, I've also messaged my blind date girl to arrange for another date. Frankly, after the 1st date, we haven't dated again. I have tried asking her out several times after the 1st date but she had always rejected my requests, citing work commitments. Sigh....Maybe she doesn't have good impression of me after that 1st date. Heard from the middle-man after that 1st date that she said that I am a nice guy. Now come to think of it she may have hidden meanings behind those words. Kind of demoralised liao. Not sure what to do now. I mean since we have only met once, if she rejected me I won't be too down wan lor since the relationship haven't even started yet. I'm now just thinking taking the relationship / friendship 1 step at a time lah. I just want to give a try to see if this thing can work out or not. The response I getting is kind of limited lor. I mean if she rejecting my date request b'cuz she is really busy with work I can understand lah, though to work even on xmas eve's nite was like kind of no-life to me. But who am I to make noise? As long as she can take it and like it, can liao. But the next question will be when then can we arrange a date? On the other hand, if she rejecting my date request b'cuz she is giving me the hints that she is not interested in me, then perhaps I should put a stop to my wishful date request liao. Sigh.... Not sure which steps to take now.

Frankly, after my unfortunate incident in NP, I have developed a "frozen heart" when it comes to BGR liao, that's why I'm single even up to now. This time I thought that for the 1st time after so long, perhaps I can start to thaw my heart. But I dunno leh. The response from the girl is quite of strange lor. If I think on the bright side, when then can we date again? If I think on the dark side, I should continue to freeze my heart lor. Then am I going to freeze it til when? Sigh....

Sian Ah! Dunno what to do liao ah!

I'm Back!

Came back from my Genting trip liao. I went with smurfie and ladylynn this time. I was like their tour guide this time. Guiding them around the various outdoor attractions. We played quite a few (5 only) of the "death-defying" rides. Yup all the rides were "death-defying" including the last ride where we were "chased at break-neck speed" by two kids. Hahaha. I must say that 2 ladies are really quite energetic. They simply refuse to move indoor even when the sky turned dark and foggy and drizzled. Even when we were indoors, they insist on going back "several time" to see if the weather had cleared so that they can played some more. Kids this days! Whole mind just play, play and play. Hahaha

Due to been on more thrilling rides in Australia and Japan, I found most of the Genting's rides a bit over-hyped lor. Their advertised thrilling rides doesn't seems thrilling to me lor. A bit disappointed lah. And those that I found thrilling, we didn't have the chance to try out due to the weather.

Oh yeah, I also learnt some things about my these 2 genting kakis, especially our small master during this trip. Her "business" timing can be really "time-defying". Hehehe

Dear folks, I'll be away for 3 days on vacation. If there're any messages for me, please record your message after the sound 'beep'. I'll get back to you when I'm back. 'BEEEEEEEEP!'
