Yo people! Guess what? I just came back from my driving test. My results...........I..........FAILED! Hahaha.......Sian sia! Have to delay my car buying plan to a later date. 8)

Review of Busy Weeks

Hi people! Miss me? I've been really busy since my last entry on 8 Jan. My SIM course started liao, plus I took in a new tuition kid (china kid) this year. The new kid's mum want me to drill the child within this 3 weeks all the p4 syllabus for English & Science so that he can sit for a p5 placement test on the week before CNY. That's why I've been giving tuition from Monday to Sunday non-stop for the past 2 weeks. See that kid's face see until sian liao. Frankly, the kid is quite bright lor, but to squeeze the whole year's syllabus for Eng & Sci into just 3 weeks, damn siong lor. The kid just can't absorb & comprehend fast enough, especially the science one. Everytime I puke blood like merlion, the kid still can't apply the knowledge to the qn. Plus, I've anticipated the school will be giving him the sci paper based on the pre-2008 sci syllabus. But this year the sci syllabus change liao, so the present sci assessment books are all based on the new syllabus, big problem in finding qns to drill too.

On the other hand, quite a lot of stuff happen in my life during this few weeks too. I'll inform you guys as the days go. My present MAIN concern now is to pass my driving test this coming Wednesday. Having the nervous pang now. So far my practices not bad lor. I found out dat, as long as I've got enough sleep, my forms during practice have been quite good lor. So far the instructors said i shd be able to pass lor. :-)

1st Mock Driving Test

Today for my driving lesson, the instructor gave me a mock of the actual driving test. Not bad. Failed the test. Hahaha. 8) Made 5 mistakes only, but they were damn expensive lor. Cost me 40 demerit points. Hehehe....

1st mistake, struck down the 1 of the back pole when I was reversing for my parallel parking. Damn heavy rain, ok. I was straining my eyes to see where's that pole when I heard it fell. Kannasai! Cost me 10 points there. Good thing is the instructor said, other then that mistake, my parking was perfect. Applause please! Thank you...thank you... 8)

2nd & 3rd mistake, out on the road, I stopped the car near the pedestrian crossing line at two separate junctions. Hahaha..... Each time I was waiting for the car in front to turn right so that I can turn right too, when the traffic lights turned amber. Siao liao, if I chiong then I know sure minus points wan lor. So I braked lor but my car was already over the stop line, but before the pedestrian crossing line, liao. Sian siao. Kanna deducted 10 points each time. But, during the review, the instructor said actually these deductions at that situation is quite subjective wan lor, Some tester will deduct, some won't, but he deducted to pay safe.

4th mistake, having kanna deducted 20 points, I decided to chiong at amber. Kannasai! Deducted 8 points.

5th mistake, when I was crossing a hump, I used gear 3 instead of the required gear 2. So kanna deducted 2 points.

During the review, the instructor told me that actually my mistakes were mainly careless mistakes, still correctable. I just need to be more careful the next time when I'm reversing, plus moderating and toning-down my acceleration of the car as I approached a junction, I should be able to prevent my 2nd & 3rd mistake from occurring again. Overall, he couldn't find fault with my driving. He was quite happy with my circuit performance. Every station I did it swee swee, other than that struck down pole incident, of course. He said he was actually surprised when I continued to reverse the car somemore that time, because my car was already perfectly centred and straighthen in the lot. Wah piang! I felt so stupid when I heard him said that. 8)

Happy New Year & 2008's Resolutions

Happy New Year Everyone! Extremely happy for me cuz, for the 1st time in 5 years, I NO NEED go back to school after the new year. So shiok man! Ok, I shall stop gloating about my good fortune here, in case certain people start giving me the evil eyes and cold shoulders.

Anyway, I was reading TT's blog and I saw her 2008's resolutions. Quite interesting. So I shall make 1 too.

2008 Resolutions

1. Got to find some way to lose some inches (at least 1 inch) from my waist. (Expanded quite a lot since my NS days liao. Must do something before I become obese.)
2. Pass my chin-up for once in 10 years. (About time I break my "zero-fighter" status.)
3. Level-up my GE characters to level 100 by the end of 2008.
4. Pack the "pig-sty" I call me room. (Damn difficult task. I got like 4 years of teaching materials dump in my room, havn't found the place to re-dump them yet. Any volunteers for space?)
5. Get a steady girlfriend, if heaven permits. (No rush for me actually. Just need to do something to stop that irritating dad from nagging at me again in 2008. Apparently, he keep insisting that it my fault that no girls like me. He said it is due to my bad temper. Me bad temper? You must be joking. My temper so nice. Hahaha)

Ok 5 resolutions, good enough liao. If make too much then can't do it by year-end, very low morale wan. Wah! Now i look at it, I feel like I'm setting my targets for my work review. Noooo.......... 8(
